Rules for good photography.

Dont have cluttered backgrounds, make it as empty as possible, make sure it is portrait rather than landscape for the front cover.

Make sure you focus on the most important person in the picture as this brings the readers attention to them sooner.

Dont put text or images over the masthead as the masthead is what potential readers identify the magazine by at a glance.

Dont use high angle shots, as this can distort images and give the wrong perspective.

Mediate the band or subjects pose as this will look better in photos.
